David Moyes and Sir Alex Ferguson are equally to blame for Manchester United's dismal season, according to Goal readers who voted in our poll.
United have endured a miserable campaign and were thumped 3-0 by fierce rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Fans
turned on Ferguson after the game – berating him for his choice of
successor – and one supporter even attempted to breach the dugout in a
bid to harangue Moyes personally.
Stewards were also forced to
protect the Stretford End's 'Chosen One' banner in case fans attempted
to tear it down, but both men are just as culpable.
Incredibly,
50.16% of readers voted that Ferguson was to blame, with his
recommendation to the board apparently leaving United in the mess they
are currently in.
