Anambra stadium project: We’re working according to Master Plan —contractor--[The sun]

Following the story published by Saturday Vanguard on February 15, 2014 with the headline Anambra stadium project: Contractor shuns inspection team, the Executive Chairman of Paul- B Nigeria PLC, Engineer Enidom Paul, has revealed exclusively that his firm was not officially written and invited by the state’s ministry of sports for the inspection exercise.

He disclosed that he was working in harmony with the ministry of works and housing, that sports ministry is only the user of the end product.
According to him: “First and foremost, I must say that I’m not happy with the publication. There was no proper investigation before the story went to press.
Paul- B is an organization that has come a long way which has and worked hard to earn her good name among her contemporaries so we did not just start yesterday. And I also want to say categorically that Paul –B Nigeria PLC, was not officially written and invited for the inspection.
It is my job and since I was given the contract, there has never been any problem. I have worked harmoniously with the ministries concerned, if there was going to be any inspection, the ministry of sports should have written to officially tell us and there should be synergy between that of works and sports.
Also, I have other senior workers who were at their duty post on that fateful day that should have spoken on my behalf if there was need for them to. The state government is happy with the king of professional job we are doing and they are paying us so if the job is not good they would not be paying.
Nobody has come out from the government to condemn the project, and if there are changes they want me to effect, they have to put it into writing and I will tell them what it will take to do.
Contractually, we have not contradicted the agreement, we are working with the laid down architectural master plan given to us. So it is naïve for any person or group of people to say that we have deviated from the plan given to us,” he said.
The contractor who has executed many jobs in the state and elsewhere said his professionalism on the job has earned him good name, adding that Paul –B Nigeria PLC was totally committed to giving its best at any given situation.
