Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom state is to be in court today to face charges of election malpractice issued against him by Engr. Frank Okon, former S.A to the former governor of the state Obong Victor Attah.
Engr. Frank Okon, a former SA to erstwhile
governor of the state, Victor Attah is praying the court to sack Akpabio on the
ground that his nomination form was signed and the January 15, 2011 guber
primary was ordered by the then ousted PDP National Chairman, Chief Okwesilieze
Nwodo.
After losing out on the case in the Federal High court in Abuja headed by Justice Abdul Kafarati, Frank Okon appealed the judgement.
A source close to Frank Okon told REPORTERS WATCH that today will probably be adoption of all parties documents so that judgment on the matter can be delivered before the end of the year.
